Niagara Falls has certainly grown over the last thirty years. When I was a kid, I remember that it was Niagara Falls itself as the only real attraction here. This natural wonder of the world consists of two main falls; the semi-circular shaped Horseshoe Falls where daredevils in buckets have thrown themselves off and the smaller American Falls to the left of it.

Most of the larger hotels offer falls views from the rooms but these are more expensive and we found them fully booked if not booked before hand. We spent a very entertaining evening in the enormous casino in the middle of the resort, limiting ourselves to a set budget.

During summer, Niagara Falls draws the highest number of visitors. After dark, floodlights illuminate both sides of it until midnight, from the Canadian side. From the American side, you can have a view of American Falls from walkways along Prospect Park or from an observation tower.

Prices vary from season to season. Summer is expensive, while fall and winter (of course excluding Christmas and New Year) is less costly. Most hotels also charge more over holidays and long weekends. If you are in Niagara Falls on a business trip, you are likely to choose a hotel near the falls, which are close to the casinos and the convention facilities. There are also a number of hotels scattered in the different parts of the city. Strangely, you won’t find many hotels near the airport.

Furthermore, Niagara Falls casino hotels offer a venue where luxury meets excitement. Detailed décor and furnishings are sure to delight one’s senses, coupled with the lavish excitement that casino gaming offers. Niagara Falls casino hotels offer different room standards ranging from the most basic to the more extravagant presidential suites.

The pricier, higher rated hotels, aside from fetching high rates, offer a lot of amenities and are better equipped than those having less than three stars. Yet for the budget-conscious traveler, a good place to stay while in Niagara Falls would offer clean rooms, satisfactory services, and modest facilities. Niagara Falls itself and partaking in the many activities offered by the local tourist board would be the highlight of your trip rather than the hotel that you will be staying in.

Bigger hotel chains situated in Niagara Falls often offer hotel packages and are well-trusted for their excellent service and facilities. Newer hotels that are still making their marks in the Niagara Falls hotel industry may provide a cheaper alternative in coming up with hotel packages that include all possible services from ticket booking, accommodations, and visitor activities for the traveler's convenience.

The many different Niagara Falls RV facilities are perfect for your stay in this tourist wonderland. The hotels and motels in this area can be overpriced, due to demand, and they can also need to be booked well in advance. If you choose to stay in your RV, you'll be able to have your Niagara Falls trip without any of the trouble of needing hotel reservations.
